The pride of my 1:72 collection. Its pretty darn big, to say the least.
Hard to believe this jet was designed and first flew in the early 1960’s.
The SR-71 made its final flight, for NASA, in 1999.
Despite all that, it still looks more futuristic than anything else in the skies.
Then or now.
This is the SR-71B, the version used to train pilots, hence the ‘hunchback’ 2nd cockpit, to allow the instructor to see where they were flying.
